It's important for your pet to be relaxed around me. Therefore I will take some time getting to know your pet before I bring out the camera. For some shy pets this may take a while, as long as necessary to get the best shots.
As a pet owner, I encourage you to be involved during the shooting. The way your pet reacts to you is difficult to replace by anyone else and I would like to be able to capture their emotions with you.
The preparation:
- Treats: please bring your pet's favorite treats. Sometimes we use treats to motivate your pet, or hold their attention. Please avoid feeding your pet right before the shooting session.
- Toys: please bring your pet's favorite toy, if the toy makes noise, even better. You will need something that gets their attention. To achieve a better image, please ensure that the toys are reasonably clean and intact.
- Clothing: bring clothing if your pet has a wardrobe.
- Exercise: to help relax and calm your pet, please exercise them before the session.
- Grooming: pets should be groomed prior to the session. Grooming is optional for the pet owner, unless you wish to be photographed with your pet.
- Communication: please tell me what makes your pet unique and special and everything about your dear pet. Stories, favorite place, favorite game and activities...etc. These help build familiarity and anticipate behaviors I can capture on the shoot.
- For the At Home package a quick location scout may be required few days prior to the shooting session.
After the session:
- You will see the online proof shortly after the shoot.
- Orders can be placed for prints after viewing and be available for delivery in 1-2 weeks.
- Canvas wraps, albums, coffee table books may take a few weeks for delivery.
